Meydan premieres at ATM
30. April 2007Meydan will be showcased in an incredible cinematic experience at the Arabian Travel Market 2007 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from tomorrow to May 4.
The Meydan movie will be premiering for the first time at the leading travel and tourism exhibition dedicated to unlocking the business potential within the Middle East and Pan Arab region.
The movie will be shown in a specially-designed 60-seater cinema, and visitors will enjoy all the trappings of moviegoing, including the traditional popcorn and candy.
Visitors will also have the chance to view the landmark development close up, as the model of Meydan Racecourse will be on display.
Dubai Racing Club chairman Saeed H Al-Tayer said: "This is the perfect platform to showcase Meydan at the region's most important trade and tourism event.
"Meydan is the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and will be like no other sporting venue in the world. It will be an incredible landmark, not just for the UAE, but for the rest of the world too."
The Meydan showcase is located in stand TD93 in the Tourism Development section of the exhibition.
Meydan racecourse has a target opening for the 2010 Dubai World Cup meeting and will span 76 million square feet. It will feature a world-class grandstand and state-of-the-art dirt and turf tracks, and the enterprise will also serve as a major business and conference district.
In close proximity to Meydan Racecourse is Meydan City - a self-contained community consisting of commercial and residential plots, retail outlets and arcades with canal, waterfront and promenade views.
