Meydan set to sponsor the seventh scheduled racemeeting at Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club
23. December 2009Meydan today announced its sponsorship of the seventh racemeeting at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club which will also host the notable HH The President's Cup for thoroughbreds.
Meydan is currently overseeing the development of Dubai’s iconic horseracing development; the Meydan Grandstand and Racecourse. It will feature a world-class 1.6km long Grandstand and the integrated facility will also serve as a major business and conference district. Meydan Grandstand and Racecourse is set to open its doors on January 28th next year for the first racemeeting of the 2010 Dubai International Racing Carnival.
Meydan's Commercial Director Mr Mohammad A. Nasser Al Khayat said: "Meydan and Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club are working together hand in hand to bring horseracing in the UAE to even greater acclaim, and we look forward to seeing this exciting sport continue to grow both in size as well as international recognition".
