Meydan appoints hotel operator Banyan Tree

At Cityscape Dubai today, Meydan LLC was delighted to announce the appointment of Banyan Tree Holdings Limited as the iconic horseracing city's hotel operator.

A leading developer, designer, and operator of top-tier hotels, resorts, spas and galleries, Banyan Tree will manage a hotel complex and an all-pool villa resort – both featuring its signature blend of Asian hospitality.

Offering easy access to Meydan Racecourse and Meydan Golf Course, guests at Banyan Tree Meydan will also enjoy the seclusion and privacy of a resort experience.

The first golf and equestrian resort in the Middle East, Banyan Tree Meydan will comprise around 60 pool villas, complete with resort facilities that include Banyan Tree's signature F&B facilities and the award-winning Banyan Tree Spa.

The hotel complex, The Meydan – also operated by Banyan Tree – will adjoin the grandstand, with all suites having a direct unobstructed view of the racetrack.

Meydan Chairman Mr Saeed H Al-Tayer said: "We are delighted in welcoming Banyan Tree to Meydan.

"We have been extremely thorough in our selection process, as we were looking for an operator which can deliver at the highest levels already associated with Meydan.

"Banyan Tree is an extremely well-regarded brand, known for its luxury, innovation and customer care, and that's why we see the group as the perfect partner for Meydan."

Banyan Tree Executive Chairman Mr Ho Kwon Ping added: "Dubai has always been an important cornerstone in our expansion strategy in the Middle East.

In close proximity to Meydan Racecourse, is Meydan City - a self-contained community consisting of commercial and residential plots, retail outlets and arcades with canal, waterfront and promenade views.
