Meydan unveils its master plan model to UAE residents and tourists

Meydan has unveiled a masterplan model of the landmark racecourse development at one of Dubai's premier shopping malls, the Burjuman centre.

The model measures 135.2 sqm and gives the chance for all visitors to the mall to appreciate the vast scale of the project ahead of the official opening of the racecourse at the 2010 Dubai World Cup meeting.

The model will be displayed until August 20 and will provide an opportunity for visitors to discover the wide range of real estate developments, both commercial and residential, that are encompassed within the Meydan project.

Speaking at the unveiling, Meydan Commercial Director, Mohammad Abdul Nasser Al Khayat, said: "We are keen on enhancing awareness of the Meydan project. Our objective is to showcase this iconic development to our potential consumers and stakeholders."
 
"The Meydan project is being developed with the aim of cultivating a spirit of sport, commerce and play. The project is designed to foster cultures that are competitive, healthy and energetic." 

In addition to the landmark Meydan Racecourse, the model showcases Meydan City, Meydan Business Park and Godolphin River City and Meydan resort villa's.

Meydan Racecourse spans 76 million square feet and features a dirt and turf track, a world class grandstand with a capacity of approximately 60,000 people, the Meydan Hotel managed by the Banyan Tree, meydan museum and Gallery featuring an IMAX cinema, and Meydan Marina.

Meydan City is an ultra modern urban centre built amidst meandering canals and landscaped islands with island parks, creating oasis for relaxation. The mixed-use development of over 40 million square feet, boasts residential and commercial areas with ample parking spaces, and defines the future of cities as complete communities. Other distinct features include the canal promenades which are adjacent to the vibrant retail and commercial centres.

Meydan Business Park is a lifestyle centre where creative and business cultures are enhanced to achieve excellence. Godolphin River City, a mixed use development located north of the Meydan Racecourse, is an urban centre designed to celebrate riverfronts as prime developments.

Meydan welcomes everyone to visit the model showcasing at Burjuman and experience this landmark thoroughbred destination. The model is currently on the first floor, at the centre of the new and old Burjuman, adjacent to the Virgin Mega store.
