Meydan to Showcase Development Progress for Iconic Racing Project at Cityscape Dubai 2009

October 2009DUBAI, 3 OCTOBER 2009 - Meydan Group L.L.C, developer of the iconic Meydan Racecourse that will host the Dubai World Cup in March 2010, has confirmed its participation at Cityscape Dubai 2009 on 5-8 October 2009, the largest real estate exhibition in the Middle East. It will showcase all four of its luxury property developments at the four-day event, most notably the Meydan Grandstand and Racecourse.
Meydan’s property developments – Meydan Metropolis, Meydan Horizons, Meydan Godolphin Parks and the Meydan Racecourse – are the brainchild of UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Collectively known as “Meydan City”, they are the culmination of His Highness’ vision for an integrated lifestyle, business and residential hub that will reinforce Dubai’s status as a global business centre and the ultimate horseracing venue.
The Meydan Grandstand and Racecourse features world-class facilities ranging from state-of-the-art all-weather surface and turf tracks, a grandstand that can accommodate up to 60,000 people, to a five-star hotel and an IMAX theatre. Meydan will also be premiering the Meydan Grandstand Suites, which are luxury suites showcasing stunning views of the racetrack. The Suites are designed to cater for business, private and exclusive events held during the racing and off-racing seasons throughout the year. The Suites will host its first guests at the Dubai Racing International Carnival, which commences on January 28, 2010.
The Meydan stand occupies 990sq metres and is one of the biggest showpieces at the exhibition, which also features over 195 booths from 33 countries. It will provide visitors with a multi-media tour of the developer’s projects and development progess to date. The centerpiece will be the Racecourse showcase, which will feature among other things, a three-dimensional guided tour of the Meydan Grandstand, its hospitality suites and hotel.
